Six organisations have been named as the Best Employers in Singapore 2017 by Aon. Engagement scores among these employers have increased by 2 points to 82 per cent this year - compared to the market average score lowering by 3 points to 60 per cent.

Digging deeper, Aon found that the higher engagement levels observed were a direct result of an enhanced work experience for employees.

Four in five (80 per cent) of the Best Employers enabled a high performance culture (20 points higher than market average); 81 per cent provided employees with better infrastructure (23 points higher than market average); and 85 per cent offered more opportunities for collaboration (21 points higher than market average).

Vikas Verma, principal, talent and performance, Aon Hewitt, said: "The digital era is opening up a great opportunity to seamlessly listen to employees across the talent life cycle in order to provide the promised people experience. However, this transition to continuous listening is not about another technology implementation.

"It's a paradigm shift in listening and responding to employee experiences in near-real-time. For this to positively influence employee engagement, organisations must drive more empowerment and development of their people managers-as we see in this year's Aon Best Employers Singapore."
